Back to Houston

Cousin Elsa will fly back to Houston today.

Because of the rain and wind yesterday I expected her to arrive at the club by taxi. She took me by surprise by knocking on the cabin of the boat, umbrella above her, rain being driven by the wind at a 45 degree angle. She had walked from her hotel to the club during a lull in the weather.

Because of the inclement weather we spent most of our time at the club. After a chat in one of the leisure rooms we had lunch at the club restaurant. After that it was a quick visit to the boat for a few photographs then a walk back to the Holiday Inn so that Elsa could make make her travel arrangements.

I told Elsa how much we appreciated her for going to the trouble and expense of flying from Houston and staying at a hotel in order to visit us.

I took this photo of the three of us using the camera's self timer.

  1. I like the photo. It certainly looks grey and wet and stormy. (It's a long time since we saw anything like that here). Not often you and Arnold are taken together, Robert - the self timer did a good job.
