This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.

Trip to Zoo
We rode the bicycles through Waikiki to visit the zoo a few days ago, which houses a wide array of fauna large and small.
The top photo is of the flamingos enjoying their habitat. Next is a gazelle (no doubt gazed at hungrily by the two lions nearby). Then there is one of the Galapagos turtles.
The fourth photo is of four giraffes and a zebra crossing (tee hee).
The last photo is an inspiration to all stressed-out overachievers: a sloth, the slowest mammal on the planet.
