One morning we found Lao Tang placing fresh meat on the surface of a an equipment storage box on the jetty. The crew had been given a large amount of beef and he was drying it in order to take it on the voyage as beef
jerky.
The photos are of Brenda and myself watching Lao at work. The last photo is Pachuca's contribution to the project: a mosquito net intended for Costa Rica to keep the flies off the meat.

I wonder if their beef jerky has sauces & chilli on it or is simply dried????
