NOON 30 JULY NZT. 35S23 163E16. HOVE TO 0200 IN 40 KN GALE WIND. STILL WAITING FOR GALE TO PASS. NOON-NOON: 71 NM.
This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.

Sounds like current Esperance weather. Howling wind, hail and a bit of pouring rain plus bitterly cold. With climate change we have forgotten these normal winters. Thinking of you .
Yeah, Robert. We had the same in Perth a few days ago. Mini-tornado's in the Swan.
Can't be much fun for you, but it must make the fine days even more spectacular!
