A man on a panga asked me to take their line as I was walking off the jetty and in the boat was a magnificent fish - swordfish, I think (but maybe a marlin). As usual in this situation, everybody was happy except the fish. It took a mighty effort by 3 men to push it over the side so that it could be towed to the ramp and loaded onto a truck.
This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.
