This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.

Fridge Fan Cover
Brenda found the perfect fan cover in the kitchen section of Safeway. We have no idea of what it is, but it is dome shaped with a hole on the top and another on the side, and appears to be all stainless steel. Most of the air being evacuated from the compressor section below comes out not from the top hole but from the side one which I orientated to the bulkhead to minimize the risk of having it blocked.
It must be working fine because yesterday after commenting how the beer was ice cold we discovered that the large container of milk was frozen solid. I have dialed back the thermostat.

The item is a stainless steel burner drip pan. I use them under each burner on the electric stove to catch boil overs etc. Right now I can't think of the correct name. Very nice photos of the islands...Our neighbor visited yesterday, he is a sailor, and gave Arnold the names of his favorite places to sail to in Canada, plus hints on how to navigate the waters. Hopefully he will e-mail you tomorrow.
