The boat is ready, the bills have been paid, and we are clear for sailing tomorrow. We plan to head for Aleck Bay, at the southern end of Lopez Island, only 20 nm from Port Townsend as the crow flies. If there is a SE wind blowing we will anchor at Mackay Bay instead.
We plan to take it slow and easy and move at a pace with which we are comfortable. We will work our way to False Creek near Vancouver where we will spend 4 or 5 days exploring the city.
So as of tomorrow I will be sending the blog entries from the boat via Sailmail.
This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.
