This blog began in late 2006 with the planning and preparation for a circumnavigation of the world in my 39-foot sail boat Pachuca. It then covered a successful 5-year circumnavigation that ended in April 2013. The blog now covers life with Pachuca back home in Australia.

More Containers

This morning Rick visited the boat bearing gifts: a steel propane gas cylinder and three plastic diesel jerry cans.
Gifts from Rick

The gas cylinder had pressure in it, which is very good because it means that moisture has not been able to get inside of it during its storage.  I will now be setting off with two containers of about 30 lb each, and the smaller Australia one of about 15 lb.  That should be ample to see me comfortably to Cape Town with plenty of fresh baked bread.

The 3 additional jerry cans will give me a capacity of 55 gallons of diesel on deck.
